My Little Rascal

Dear Marciano,

On October 29, 2016 ETON Centris celebrated the Halloween by hosting a trick or treat program entitled AN ENCHANTED HALLOWEEN. The employees of the whole company were invited to the event but it was open to the public as well. I thought I'd bring you on the event to show support to the company and to have you experienced something like this as well.

It was only on the 27th of October when we decided that we will attend. That time you have seen zombies on the television and you got excited at the thought of seeing one in flesh. 28th of October when I finalized my decision on what your costume will be. As per the ad of Centris, they encourage the guests/kids to attend in their spooky costumes but since I think you wearing make up and spooky costume will be taxing for us, I looked for something easy to wear but cute and unique in a way. This was where the idea of you being Alfalfa of The Little Rascals have come to life.

According to Google :
Our Gang (also known as The Little Rascals or Hal Roach's Rascals) is a series of American comedy short films about a group of poor neighborhood children and their adventures. The series was produced between 1922 and 1944 and is noted for showing children behaving in a relatively natural way.
In addition, Our Gang notably put boys, girls, whites and blacks together as equals, something that broke new ground.

The series was in black and white and an adaptation was produced in 1994. If you're interested in knowing more of the series' history, we can spare sometime and do the research together. As for now, let me share with you your photos and a compilation of your videos during the event (which you will see nothing but you walking and sliding and walking).

Alfalfa

We arrived fashionably late. The program starts at 12nn but we arrived around 2pm. I changed you into your costume at the Ladies' Room and put your freckles using Lola's eyeliner all in the span of five minutes. Yes, just five minutes because you were so good and cooperative that time.

PHONE PIC. Showcasing your freckles.
(a few ladies thought those were chicken pox marks)

PHONE PIC. Taking photos of you won't take
long if you cooperate right away.

I managed to score two photos while you're in the mood, but right after the photo above was taken you went on your way and scout the area. In the video, you can see on how you enjoyed the event. RUNNING-SLIDING-WALKING-RUNNING.

PANCAKES TO SAVE THE DAY.

Your LETS-GET-OVER-WITH-IT smile

Only an elderly couple recognized you right away as Alfalfa and you can see *kilig* in their faces when they spotted you. The old man even sang the theme song of the show, but of course you're not aware of that. At the mall, a saleslady thought you were portraying Vhong Navarro (an actor) whose character in a film dresses the same way Alfalfa does, she said even the hair is the same. While others try to figure out your character, most are just fascinated by you being cute in your suspenders and bow tie or maybe it's just your hair.

I know it's given that I adore your smile, but this is special.

We passed by a baby clothing store, you went back, go inside and ask the salesman for a balloon.

It took almost 5 minutes before you gave in
and give us your WOW FACE
Does your outfit looks familiar? This is the second time you wear the whole ensemble. The first one was on Ninang Mariel's wedding where you were the ring bearer.

PLEASE NOTICE HOW MUCH YOU'VE GROWN.

This is another FIRST for us and I am so looking forward to more.

Love,

Nanay
